hello my darlings 🙂
I am sorry for not getting a post done midweek, I was taking time for myself. Some alone time to take stock of my friendships and let go of the toxic relationship that had been weighing me down. She was such a huge part of my life but Im feeling better. One step at a time!
So it was the bestie Chita’s birthday this week and we spent her day at the Singapore Zoo. We met for her birthday dinner a few hours back at Basilica, a very good Italian joint at Regent Hotel. It was a very happy and memorable evening. More so because I met my old friend Priscilla after 7 years! We had a falling out but we patched it up this year. After maa’s demise I just want to work at being a better friend and better person, so that means weeding out the unnecessary drama and bringing in the good folks 🙂
My look for the evening :
grey crop top – Cotton On sz L
pastel cream skirt – Dorothy Perkins uk 18
purse – Aldo
statement necklace – Dorothy Perkins
heels – local store
I went for a more feminine look this evening. I seem to quite like the mix of grey with a shade of pink, like my look last week so I went for this ensemble.
The statement necklace has got to be the scene stealer for me, the vibrant colours are a nice touch to this simple look. One of my favorite purchases from the month of May!
Details of the Look :
For makeup, I went for a pop of purple on the eyes and a shade of orange-coral on the lips. Mixed 2 Revlon matte lipsticks to get that shade and added a coral lip gloss. I don’t usually use blush on the cheeks because my cheeks do tend to be a little pinkish but I wanted to add to the feminine, demure style (hahaha…well not if you saw me cross my legs!) so I applied light pink blush.
Was quite happy with the outcome 🙂
I had such a good time over tasty Italian nom with the friends, and I was glad to see birthday girl enjoy herself!
My wish for you Chita, is that you stay as resilient and positive as you are and always have that beautiful cheeky smile on your face. You have been such a blessing to me and I am so proud of you, of how many strides you have taken.
Here a few pics of me taken with the girls during the evening :
Cherish the relationships you hold dearly, be it family, friends, significant others and fur babies. Because life is so short and there is so much that we miss out on if we dwell on the negative. My wish for you dear readers, is to be happy and healthy wherever you are 🙂
I’ll end this post with a goofy shot because well, goofy shots are my specialty 😉 Here I am emulating the great enigma known as Grumpy Cat. Except I look a little worried too..?
